This week I did the Where’s Wally – Kick Start Activity, this is where we make our very own Where’s (name) puzzle book! As you can see there is about 3 Where’s Mrs Taylor, those are just examples and where I had to circle where she is. It was tricky but my eyes are excellent to use. I also made my own Where’s Leata! R.E.S.P.E.C.T – Kick Start
This week I am doing my R.E.S.P.E.C.T Kick Start Activity. I’m not great at knowing what a Tongan Kiekie but as soon as I research, I knew just what I need to make. I made it red to represent the colour of the flag. And Tongans wear this to signify the importance of their beautiful Tongan culture! So that is RESPECT.
Superhero Comic – Step it Up
Kia ora! Sorry for not posting any Summer Learning Activities as my chromebook had to be taken by Miss T.A for a check up or something? Anyways, here is my Step it Up Activity! As you can see… it’s a Superhero Comic. The blue watered-hair girl is Fafine Vasa, the enemy of my superhero (Fafine Afi). Firstly, how are they enemies? It all started…
In the far, far, island of Samoa. When Fafine Vasa and Fafine Afi were children, they even used to be friends. Yes, it’s very different when elements can mix together but they work it out. Fafine Vasa is always getting bully by Samoan kids while Fafine Afi is actually great at making friends with them! Soon enough, Fafine Vasa grew tired of getting bullied and being the main loser in this island. So she observed the whole Pacific Ocean to make ginormous waves. But as soon as she did that, Fafine Afi ran to her and shouting: “STOP! DO NOT DO SUCH A HORRIBLE THING TO THIS BEAUTIFUL ISLAND, VASA!!!”. Fafine Afi did her hardest to observed fire… from the sun?!! It’s a good thing she was able to do it. She blasted it against the ginormous waves and she did it.
But now, Fafine Vase is at it again. She hates Samoans (not being racist btw). These ladies now compete their unique elements.
Fafine Afi – My Superhero
This week my school (Pt England School) are doing the Summer Learning Journey! Here is the first activity Kick Start, this is all about creating your very own superhero. Some of us can create our own superhero by using an AI app or a drawing app. As you can see, I have made a google slide about my hero. Just click on the colourful buttons and they will take you to different information. Hope you enjoy the info! =)

This week we were creating an abstract art, this is my abstract art. I used the curve line and one shape. I also use WONDERFUL colours on my art, too. So, I hope you like my art!!
Nature Rubbing
This week we are creating nature rubbing, nature rubbing is where you can have the details of nature. We had to grab some paper, colour pencils and a nature ITEM. I found a leaf around my house, so I coloured it and it turn out to be THIS.

Kowhai Drawing
This week we were drawing a Kowhai and learning some facts about Kowhai too. Fact 1: A Kowhai is a small woody legume trees. Fact 2: The blooms of the Kowhai are widely regarded as being NZ’s national FLOWER. Fact 3: Did you know that the word KOWHAI is used in a Maori Language, for the colour yellow. Seaside Story Starters – Pirates And Sea Monsters
One sunny day, I went to the beach for FUN. But when I went to the beach, I trip over something, I look at what I trip over and it looked like a chest. I dug to find out what was inside of the chest, when I was done digging I opened it. Inside was full of jewelry and GOLD. I was full of surprise that it was treasure, so I took some but when I was taking some jewelry and gold. A boat crashed into the beach, when I took a look it was a pirate ship. The ship was a big, brown boat full of weapons. 5 People came out of the ship and said “ what you got there, TREASURE I SEE” they said. Then the captain came, “I see TREASURE. GET THE TREASURE” he said. Before I got to say anything, the people came running to the treasure and at ME. They tied me on their ship, took the treasure and said “Who may you be” the captain said. “I am L-Leata” I said terrified. “ Well I am Peter, the captain of this fine ship. That one is Nicky, the look out. Max the map reader, William the keeper who puts our treasure under our ship. And Tom the SHIP CLEANER, he is the one who cleans our ship” he said. While I was tied in the ship, I looked at them closely. These pirate boys look young, like teenagers. “Oi you guys look very young, are you guys 19 or 20” I said, the pirate boys looked at me very angry. “Oh come on, you guys can’t trick me. I am too smart to know your age”, “Okay, okay we are young but we are still PIRATES” Peter said. The boys nodded but then Nicky said “And our brother” he said. “YOU IDIOT, YOU JUST REVEAL OUR IDENTITY. THAT WE ARE BROTHERS” Peter said angrily.
Then Max said “And we are trying to save our home from the Great Sea Monsters” , “The Great Sea Monsters? Tell me more about these Great Sea Monsters” I said. “There are 3 Great Sea Monsters, and their names are “Sun, Moon and Lunar”. Sun is Bright Day, Moon is Dark Night and Lunar is Stars. They are from the sky of the water, for example: the water reflects the sky. They are very big and powerful, so you better be careful”. I did not know that sea monsters exist, but mostly I am terrified of them. Also, Peter was SUPER angry at his brothers telling me all that. They needed help, so I told them I wanted to help them save their home. Peter laughed at me, but I was serious. I want to take a look at these Great Sea Monsters. After Peter stopped laughing, he finally agreed. But he said I need to be like a PIRATE if he wants my help. So he taught me how to be like a pirate before we got there. “Hey Peter, I forgot to tell you this but why do you need the treasure that I found” I said to Peter. “That’s because it’s a gift for my people. I found a map from the shop, so I followed the map that leads to the big treasure” he said. He told me about his home and everything. His home was called “Green Sea” and his parents are pirates too. No wonder Peter and his brothers are pirates and got a big ship.
After talking and chatting, we were here at Green Sea. I didn’t see the monster anywhere but then Peter tapped me and pointed at the back. I saw the Sun, Moon and Lunar at the back of the ship. Moon’s tail hit our ship, me and the boys ran as fast to get out of the ship. The Great Sea Monsters roar at us, then FLY up. “I THOUGHT YOU SAID IT WAS A SEA MONSTER MAX”, “YEAH IT IS A SEA MONSTER. A SEA DRAGON BUT WE LIKE TO CALL IT SEA MONSTER” Max said. They flew really high and went down all the way towards us. Sun blows fire at us, but Sun misses. Moon tried to blow ice at us but missed too!! These Sea Monsters need to learn how to shoot fire and ice at us. The boys and I ran to a cave that was close to Green Sea. The Sea Monsters couldn’t fit in the cave, so they blew fire, ice and wind at the cave. “The cave is about to collapse!!” Peter said. “But the Great Sea Monsters are outside, Peter” William said to Peter. “What choice do we have?!” Peter said. We ran out of the cave before it collapsed, the Great Sea Monster looked straight at us. “Uhhh, good evening Sun and Moon and Lunar. Don’t you look GREAT today” I said, the boys look at me with a confused face. “So uhh you guys are from the sky of the water. Well isn’t that nice, oh are you guys hungry. Here have some bread” I said to the Great Sea Monsters. They took one bite each for them, the Sea Monsters looked pleased. The boys were still confused about what is happening. When they looked at us they started to TALK, “Thank You, for this small piece of bread” said Lunar. “Wait, wait you guys can talk this WHOLE TIME” Willam said. “Yes, we can talk this WHOLE TIME. We didn’t mean to wreck your home. We were hungry for food” Sun said. “Then why didn’t you just ask!!” William said. “You guys kept on screaming and shooting at us. That you guys wouldn’t listen” Moon said. “But at least SHE gets to give us FOOD” Lunar said. The boys apologize to the Great Sea Monsters, “Leata, how did you know that the Sea Monsters wanted food” Peter said. “Well, Max told me he took some pictures of the Great Sea Monster before you guys got on the ship. He gave me the pictures, I look at the pictures REALLY CAREFUL. And when I took a good look at the pictures, the Great Sea Monsters looked sad” I said to Peter. “If the Great Sea Monster was good, then WHERE IS MY PEOPLE” Peter said. The Great Sea Monsters heard what he said, and they flew to the location of all the people. They came back with the people, the boys saw their parents when the Great Sea Monsters let go of all the people. Me and the boys told everyone about the Great Sea Monsters, the people apologized to the Great Sea Monsters and offered some food to the Great Sea Monsters. The boys got me back from the beach. The boys would visit me at the beach anytime when it’s 3:00 o’clock.
