Kia ora! Today for writing is thank you letters, as a Year 8 I have many people around my school to write but I only pick three people in this Google Slides.
On the second slide is my homeroom teacher, third slide is a support teacher from my school, and lastly my principal. I found this fun because it’ll be very memorable when writing these thank you letters to them, and that it also helps improve my vocabulary!
Also, when we finish writing our letters. We send them through Gmail ^^
Kia ora! Yesterday was the day that me and my partner, Neomi, would present our SOUND presentation to Room 1. At first, we planned to do it on Thursday but Neomi insist on doing it right now on Tuesday. Now, it sounded insane to me but I eventually agree.
It’s not only us, our whole class is doing a presentation about sound. What sound is, how it works, and how human hear sound. You’ll hear all that in OUR presentation too, it’s really formal yet COLOURFUL and FUN!!
Because in our presentation is a quiz made by me, so if you want you can try and answer them by commenting down below. Be honest if you were listening or at least have the knowledge.

On the 17th of October, all the class had an Immersion Assembly in the school hall. Immersion Assembly is were the teachers show us about what we will be learning about this term.
Team 1 was about a superhero called “Mitey Friend”, she help Miss Dwyer who fell, helped Miss Lal with some balls, told some girls that it is fun to play together and helped Miss Shirley to get her award. Team 2 are learning about their emotions by doing some movements, so the Team 2 teachers did a shadow show. It had some music in it, when they were doing it.
Team 3 was about a story call “In My Heart”, some of the teachers were acting to be the emotions.
Team 4 was about 5 superheroes who were Mana, the names of the superheros were Mana Whanau, Mana Ukaipo, Mana Motuhake, Mana Tu and Mana Tangatarua.
There ones are kind of like Team 1’s one.
Team 5 was about a story call “Billy’s Hairy Legs”, he was getting fun at his hairy legs and it was about being an upstander but NOT a bystander.
