Ordering Fractions

Kia ora! This week is Friday and Maths is my first learning subject today, as you can see it’s about fractions but ORDERING Fractions.

My class is learning how to order fractions with different denominators (the number on the bottom of a fraction) by comparing fraction size on the fraction wall. Mr Moran, my homeroom teacher with no hairline, made a little bit of mistakes just like Mr Wiseman.

On the sixth slide is about using a greater, less and equal signs. Tho it’s a good thing that on the last slide, I worked it out 🙂

The Real G.O.A.T of All Foods!

Hey you! Want to know what the REAL G.O.A.T of All Foods is? It’s not Filet-O-Fish or McChicken, it’s… Quarter Pounder!! I mean look at the seeds of that bun and that meat as well. Also if you’re an onion lover (which is okay to like onions) , just look at those yummy onions it can almost make you cry, not literally but metaphorically.

Anyways, this delicious Quarter Pounder can also be a nice replacement with a plain Cheeseburger too. I used to eat one, but ever since my dad got me a Quarter Pounder. I gave a French kiss to it, again metaphorically.

What’s your favourite burger in McDonald’s and why? What was your first burger in McDonald’s too!

Fifth Activity – Autumn Learning Journey

Kia ora and Happy Holidays to all! Today, 18th April, is Velociraptor Day which means that this task is all about velociraptors. Firstly, I had to draw a velociraptors from a video.

But it was super easy for me, since I just draw a lot and doodle stuff as well. Anyways, I don’t have much paper so I use a drawing app called “Kleki”. I use that app a lot to be honest, meaning I mostly do digital art! I then make a background, trying to make it look very old and dark.

Anyways…

Fourth Activity – Autumn Learning Journey

Kia ora and Happy Holidays to all! I’m here with another task that is called “Boggle”, I have to write as many words as I can using the letters in AUTUMN. I tried to get those letters but instead, Boggle would barely give me any of the letters on AUTUMN.

So as you can see, I only got the letter A and T in AUTUMN. It was indeed super hard for me!

Third Activity – Autumn Learning Journey

Kia ora and Happy Holidays to all! Here is the third activity of the Autumn Learning Journey, this one is about making 4 autumn-themed maths problems.

This task is super easy for me as I am a Year 8, if you want you can try and solve these maths problem I made. If there’s any errors in the Google Slides, than just tell and I’ll try to fix it.

Second Activity – Autumn Learning Journey

Kia ora and Happy Holidays to you all! I have done another activity, but this one is about making music that reminds me of autumn. So whenever I’m thinking of autumn, I just go wild and run around some leafs.

My autumn music involves with strings, and blocks. I also tried to keep it short and simple, it sounds great for autumn! I think the hardest part of making this autumn music, is thinking of tools to use to make it sound nice. But my favourite of this is getting to share my inner music taste!

First Activity – Autumn Learning Journey

Kia ora and Happy Holidays to you all! This task is one of the Autumn Learning Journey, that Mrs Lagitupu said that we all can do.

Anyways, I chose the breakfast activity which is to spoil your parents with shapes in toast. As you can see, I made shapes in toast by cutting it with a sharp knife (with adult supervision), I then cut bananas and apples to make it look healthy with the Hershey’s chocolate syrup.

The toast shapes are triangles which creates a shape of a bird, if you look real hard!! Also, my dad really loved it, so the activity was a success 🙂

Adjectives Practice

Kia ora! I have done one of those writing practice, which is adjectives. I have learnt this last year, so I basically know what an adjective is (it’s a describing word).

Anyways, when you see the next slide it shows you the BEST adjective. I had to come up with 5 better words for this slide, but Mrs Lagitupu allowed everyone to use synonyms.

Next slide shows you POWERFUL adjectives, where I had to pick a powerful word for each sentences. It’s hard to understand these powerful words, but it’s a good thing that I’m allow to use the dictionary.

Lastly is Rewriting for Improvement, which means that I have to put 5 adjectives in the story to make it better!

Similes – Writing practice

Kia ora! This task I did is about Simile, which is about using like or as in a sentences. So it’s basically all about what is a Simile and how to put like or as in a sentences.

As you can see, my whole literacy class are using Simile about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. We watched the video and started with the writing task.

My Simile task was also checked by my literacy teacher, who is Mrs Lagitupu.
